The first 48 hours weren't as bad as I thought. Despite no reading, computer or tv, I didn't los my mind. I had a book on CD that wasn't too bad. Although the dialogue still caught me up. Some of the voices were bang on the characters, but it was a guy reading it and all the women's voices sounded like prim Sunday school teachers and a few of the guys sounded like Jeff Foxworthy. Still the book was entertaining even if the dialogue could have used some work and the epilogue could have used a complete overhaul.
I wasn't able to work on Brimstone since Wednesday though because my vision was a bit off because one eye healed faster than the other, so looking at the screen was a bit wonky. Today it feels fine though so I'll be back at it tomorrow to try and catch up.
I can't wear any eye make-up until Friday of next week. Oddly, I've discovered after a week of not wearing make-up that I don't need to wear as much as I have been, so that was a nice side benefit. Still, it'll be nice to get my hands on that new mascara. I'll just leave off the eyeliner and shadow.
Thankfully I can drive as of today, which works out well because my chapter meeting is today and I don't want to miss it. I still have to wear the funky sunglasses, but luckily the pair they gave me are kind of cool. I feel like a superstah!

Yay! I'm so glad everything worked out for you! Be careful driving today.
Congrats! I'm so glad to hear it went well and you're already reaping the benefits. I hadn't even thought about reading the shampoo bottles in the shower. That must be nice!
Sounds like the eye surgery was a big success. Hope you're back to the writing this morning.
That is awesome Kelly. I'm almost convinced that I might to this myself. I'm going to check with my eye doctor to see if it's a possibility.
Woo hoo! I can't imagine waking up in the morning and being able to see without glasses or contacts. So glad everything went well!
Glad it went well!
