In His Perfectly Unkempt Clothes

Yay! Pearl Jam is here!! Well I'm not actually sure if they've landed yet, although I suspect Maxx has some sort of special radar that will go off the moment Eddie Vedder sets foot on Nova Scotian soil. But tonight is the concert and I'm really looking forward to it. It's been several years since I've seen the band live. The last time was in an outdoor concert in Barrie where we barely survived the crush of the mosh pit. We ended up moving to higher ground after I got smooshed between two very large guys to the point where my feet were actually off the ground, dangling in the air, the oxygen being squeezed out of my lungs. Two other hot guys pulled me free and got us to a safer spot, so losing our up close seats in the mosh pit wasn't a total loss. But this time it'll be nice to see the guys in a smaller venue with a little better crowd control.

As for the ongoing revisions, I spent today writing a new scene to replace one I had to remove, but my brain felt as though it was in a fog and I had to keep going back and rewriting and removing because I started to ramble and verbally wander off point. Still, I managed three single spaced new pages and I think I got the scene down as I wanted it. I'll go back and reread tomorrow and make any changes I need to then.

On my little measurement meters to the left, I decided to change my revisions of The Outlaw Bride to reflect the word count rather than the 30 days. As I piece it back together, this will help me keep track of how close I am coming to the 100,000 word cut off. I wish I was making a little faster progress, but I think once I get into the sections where fewer changes were made things will speed up a bit more. I really want to have this out to the editor by October. Thankfully I have a four day weekend planned around Thanksgiving so that should help immensely.

Meanwhile, my search for a universal remote that actually works with my VCR continues. I returned the first one and bought another one. It didn't work either, but I finally got an email back from the help desk of the first remote giving me the proper code to use which was not listed in their information. So now it's back to Future Shop to exchange the second remote back for the first remote and try that again. At this rate, it may only be a matter of time before the staff at Future Shop start locking the doors when they see me coming.

You have a great blog! I've already bookmarked you!

I have a table runner site. I offer many table runner items.

Check it out if you get time :-)

Yes... I believe my future husband is within a hundred mile radius.

I'm so excited! Although the last two concerts were great because it was PJ, obviously the ticket was wasted on the wrong person. I think she just wanted to go so she could say she was there. But now the planets have realigned and things are right again in the cosmos. Me, you and PJ. Life... is good.

ps- I hope she's there tonight and stuck in the nosebleeds. We'll wave to her from the front. Maybe we'll get Ed to wave too.

You just tell your husband to let Ed know there'll be a couple of babes somewhere in the first couple rows that would be willing to 'show him the town' if he's looking for something to do.

and WHY HAVEN'T THEY LEFT YET?! Don't they realize they have a show to get ready for?! HUH?!

Pearl Jam...there was a guy in college that worshipped those guys. I always think of him when I hear a PJ song.
I've always loved Eddie's voice, though. Something very sexy about it.

That would be the understatement of the year. His voice should be licensed as an illegal weapon.

I'm also rather partial to Chad Kroeger's voice from Nickelback. Yum. I love that band.

and once you get the right code (that's not listed anywhere...) make sure you write it down. So when the battery dies and you have to reprogram it, you'll have the code again. Ask me how I know this... :)
