Say It Isn't Snow

Um...yeah…so it snowed last night. And not the slushy, melt-as- soon-as-it-touches-the-ground kind either like I thought it would be. But no. Because that would just be too much to hope for. No, this was the stick-around-for-as-long-as-I-damn-well-please kind of snow. The kind where it took me longer to scrape down and thaw out my car than it did to drive into work.

Oh sure, it’s pretty and all that. You know the scene – pristine white flakes encrusted onto the spindly branches of bare trees glistening in the sun. At least I’m sure they would glisten if there was sun. But no, it’s still clouded over. A sheet of thick white stuff obliterating the blue and another stupid white layer covering the green.

Sigh…it’s going to be another long winter, I can feel it in my bones.

Yah. Isn't it pretty. And cold. And hard to walk on cause it's half ice.

I don't envy you - I want snow around Christmas time but until then, it can stay away.

I'm with Melissa - it can keep away till about mid-December here. Though they're saying it may snow a touch here at higher elevations over the weekend. We're on the snow line, so may get some.

Sorry to hear winter has already started back East :( You should move to the West Coast :)

I've lived on the West Coast and while it was nice not to have 3 feet of snow all winter... its still pretty damp. And when it did snow, just a little bit, there were accidents everywhere because those crazy people kept their summer tires on! But it sure was nice to sit outside at the picnic table in March sipping my morning coffee.

Snow! We won't see any for a couple more months if then. And, you changed your blog! So did I.
Change must be in the air.

Sorry about the snow and the forecast for a loooooong winter. We don't get snow here in Austin. Only every once in a blue moon.

And there's a storm coming for the weekend. Yuck.

No lasting snow here yet, but it's cold 10 degrees. Brrrr! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get a little warm up to melt it all away.

I do not like snow. Not one bit. I'm dreading the first snow here. If it does have to snow, I want it on a Saturday where I can stay inside and just look at it, not deal with it...

'The kind where it took me longer to scrape down and thaw out my car than it did to drive into work.' - LOL!! I was late by half an hour because the bus pulled onto the main road and promptly sat there for an eon because one flake of snow doth a catastrophe make.
