Meanwhile, Back at Brimstone...

Well, NaNo is done for another year. The month of November seemed to fly by in a blur of NaNo, revisions, GH preparations, holiday parties and chapter obligations. Despite the frenzy, it was a fun month, but I'm glad to slow it down a bit now and get back to my regularly scheduled program.

Which means cleaning up Brimstone one final time, darkening up Devlin and giving Isabel a bit more motivation. Then it's off to the races. Well, not the races exactly, but definitely off to Berkley and to a slew of agents in the hopes one of them will say, "Why yes, we'd love nothing more than to represent you, sell all your stuff, and make you scads of money in the process so you can write full time and never have to worry about paying the mortgage."

Of course, any self-respecting editor or agent would also tell me that sentence ran on for far too long.

Either way, I am looking ahead to next year and starting to work on my goals for 2008 and formulate a plan to get as much done as possible. The list so far looks something like this:

1. Finish Brimstone and send it out into the world.
2. Clean up Outlaw Bride and send it out into the world.
3. Query agents.
4. Start Book 2 (Saving Grace) in the series and finish by July.
5. Go to conference.
6. Write first draft of Book 3 (yet to be titled) and start on revisions.
7. Do NaNo again (romantic suspense idea)

So far, it's shaping up to be a busy year. Has anyone else started planning their 2008 goals?

Goodness. I haven't even thought about 2008. I'm just trying to figure out which novel to write next. I have so many ideas that I don't know which one to pick and it's actually quite tormenting.

I'm thinking about 2008 goals.I know I want to write more. Get more proposals/queries out to editors. I'm working on a schedule with more specifics. Love schedules but never stick to them.

I'm just trying not to kill the cats before Christmas. Get me through that and we'll talk about writing goals.

I'm sticking with the yearly goal I wrote out at the potluck. Clearing out my office which at the moment is masquerading as a storage room. It's doing a really good job of it, really.
