My New Favorite TV Show

Okay, it hasn't actually aired yet and won't until this fall, but I am so, so, soooo looking forward to The Journeyman on NBC. Kevin McKidd plays the main character and sort of reminds me of Daniel Craig in some ways. I think it's the intensity in his gaze. Very Daniel Craig. The show looks fascinating and in some respects reminds me of The Time Traveler's Wife, which was one of my favorite books.

The basic premise is that Dan Vassar (McKidd) is just this average guy going about his life until he is given the chance to time travel. He finds himself changing people's lives, both for the good and the bad. But things take a turn for the worse when, while time traveling, he rediscovers his ex-fiancee, a woman who died mysteriously in a plane crash years ago. Complicating matters is the fact that in real time, he has remarried and had a family. Suddenly Dan is caught between two worlds and a secret that even when told, no one believes.

And to top it all off, the guy's hot, Scottish (okay he sounds American in this show but in the interviews - pure Scots, yum), and the show has an exciting, not done to death, premise. I can't wait to see it.

Has anyone else been watching the previews for upcoming shows this fall? If so, what caught your interest?

Why haven't I heard of this before?!? Wait, I think SciFi Chick did a blurb on this. I'll be penciling it into my TV schedule for the fall. Sounds awesome.

Haven't watched too many previews but saw this one. The guy looked hot but I'm not crazy about time travel.

This does look good.

Haven't seen any previews for any shows, though. We don't get cable at our house and anything that comes through the rabbit ears is pretty much not worth watching.

I totally love Kevin McKidd! And SciFiChick did showcase new shows on her blog awhile back, including this one. I also want to see "New Amsterdam", which has an immortal living first in New Amsterdam, eventually NYC.

I love Kevin McKidd. I'd heard he was doing a show. So is Ray Stevenson, one of my other favorite "Rome" guys. He's doing a show on CBS.

I'm looking forward to the American version of "Kitchen Nightmares." I've just started catching the BBC version and I love it. I want to see "New Amsterdam" as well. David Duchovny is doing a new show called "Californication" on Showtime, so I'll probably catch that.

Okay haven't seen that preview yet but the premise sounds very cool. I must add that to my list.

Jeez...the fall tv shows are coming up pretty soon aren't they? I need to get some writing done before it all starts!

Did someone say Daniel Craig? Just saw Casino Royale for the first time and I might just be revising my preference for tall dark and handsome. This looks good too. Wonderful if we'll get this show Downunder.

I haven't seen any previews for the fall, but I did see Christmas ornaments at Hallmark!! Something a little messed up about that.
