When Crazy Means A New Idea

I had the weirdest, craziest dream last night with Eric Stoltz playing a central role, only not as himself, he was some other guy. It was like watching a movie it was so vivid and the characters all came with backstory and motivations. It was scary and suspenseful and when I woke up I still felt like the dream was with me, but at the same time I was scrambling to write it down because – damn, it was a great psychological thriller of a book!!

I’m not sure how Eric Stoltz ended up in it. Although I’ve loved him as an actor since Mask there was nothing in the past few days that would trigger having him pop up in a dream, but hey, it worked great for the character, so what the heck.

Meanwhile, back in Reality Land, I picked up two new books today: Julia Quinn’s new one, The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever, and Mary Balogh’s new reissue, Web of Love, which is the continuation from the series which started with The Gilded Web that I finished reading a few months back. So now I have some new books to take with me on vacation. As if the stack of 100+ from the TBR pile weren’t enough to choose from. Although I knocked that down by about three last night after trying to get into a few and not being that impressed with them.

Other decisions of the day – while I plan to wait until closer to the end of the year, I have decided my next pooch will be a Golden Retriever and I think I have the breeder picked out as well. I’m excited at the thought of getting a new dog. I still miss Coop terribly and will for a while, but I’m a bonafide dog person through and through. Not having a dog just feels...off. And knowing there is a new bundle of fur in my future gives me something to look forward to.

Sweet to get a dream like that!

A furry-bundle future sounds so good, Kelly.

Did you know that people with dogs have less stress and live longer?

I did know that. And I believe it completely. I cannot be stressed around a dog. It's an impossibility. They are the best stress reliever known to man. Puts valium to shame.

Cats are good stress relievers, too. That's why we have two. Well, that's not the real reason, but it's a nice fringe benefit!

Funny about your Eric Stoltz dream. I wonder what that means?

Oh, that picture of the puppy is so cute. Almost makes me want to get a dog right now. Almost.

That's cool about the dream. Although I'm not sure what the whole Eric Stoltz thing means.

I often have dreams with celebrities in them, but none that make enough sense to put in a book. (maybe a David Lynch movie, though :-))

I love those types of dreams. I once had a dream where I actually saw the CREDITS roll at the end - just like a movie! I still remember that one.

I've always wanted a Golden Retriever. They are such nice dogs.

We have a golden retriever next door - he does full body waggly greetings.

Oh, and Kelly, um, I've given you a second Thinking Blogger award. If you're going to have one, why not a matching set?

I'd like to thank all the little people who mistakenly believe that I think...

5'1" is pretty little. I realized I completely forgot to mention in my post about spreading the Thinking Blogger joy to 5 other interesting bloggers. Makes me wonder about the choice of me in the first place!

Doggies are so wonderful to have around. We've been toying with the idea of getting a second, but can't decide how numero uno will handle it :o)

Good luck with getting your new baby!
