Thar She Blows

So winter reared its ugly head yesterday. Nice picture of downtown Halifax and suppertime. Just because we like to ring in the season in style, our first snowfall of the year was a storm. Traffic was gridlocked for several hours. I was stuck in the office until 8 pm until it eased a bit and I could leave without spending half the night stuck on the road. I arrived home 45 minutes later after dropping off a co-worker to find my neighbor had snowblown my steep driveway clear. Unfortunately the snowplow went by a couple hours later and dumped big heavy snow at the end. I just didn't realize how heavy it was until I filled my shovel up and wrenched all the muscles in my lower back.

Needless today I'm highly medicated and prone to wandering, not to mention too sore to sit at the computer this morning and write. I did some time line plotting at my dining room table so I could move around instead of being hunched over. Work as been fun. I type a little, get up and move around. Type a little, get up and move around. I'm making up a whole stream of new curse words as I go. My podmates are probably read to duct tape my potty mouth closed.

Oh man. That picture is scary. Can't believe all the snow you got.

I'm really surprised we haven't been hit yet. Hope we get some for Christmas, though.

Take care of your back!!!

We usually do too...unless it starts at 2 pm and we're already at work. Argh.

Oooh, poor you. But that pic is great - kinda like what Vancouver looked like a week ago!

Hope your back feels better soon. Shoveling snow is a total bitch.

Do you know how to do a twisted rib stitch? I think I get it from descriptions I've read, but welcome any input. No worries till you're feeling better - I won't get to Sean's hat till I've finished the one for my niece and have done at least one more, if not two or three. Thanks!

Ouch. Take care of your back. My husband did the same thing shoveling the heavy snow at the end of the driveway. I got off easy and only had to do the middle part.

That's a great picture!

Ha Ha Ha Sorry Kelly I can just imagine you at work now cursing like a sailor....ahhh the good old days!!

Well it would not be polite if I didn't say "get better" or something...so "get better" o.k.

Christine, I don't know what you're saying? I'm shocked & appalled to think of Kelly swearing!

*ahem*

Yeah, almost got through that with a straight face, too...

(nice to see you being polite, at least)

In defense of my potty mouth...at least I'm creative with it. :-)

Wow, that looks cold. No thanks. Today I'm wondering if I should take the convertible out.
