I'm using the Lover's Journey to plot out my synopsis and I find its really helping me stay focused on what I need to put in there and what needs to be left out. I still need to streamline things, because I'm over the 5 page required length (quelle surprise) and only at the Supreme Ordeal. I figured I'll hash it out in rough draft then go back in and cut and clean. And somehow, hopefully get this done before Sunday morning. Something that might take a small miracle since I have softball playoffs on Saturday and chapter business that has eaten up too much of my writing time in the past two days, a fact I'm not real thrilled about.
I now have Thursday and Friday to get the synopsis done and the chapter fixed. Things at work have been crazy so I've had no time there on lunches to use and I can hear the clock ticking loudly in my ear counting down the minutes until I run out of time.
Argh...
Meanwhile, I updated the Fab at Forty blog, and the docu-crew have updated their site over at Miss Make A Movie too. Check it out.

I'm having trouble with my synopsis as well. Written it several times and still it's a big yawn. My other problem is not with the story structure but with making a plot point make sense. Ok - I have problems with it in the book as well but I thought it wouldn't be so obvious when I only have to spend a few sentences on it. Wrong. It's worse.
I'm all over that synopsis like a rash! Or maybe it's all over me and that's why people are shying away when I approach. Probably it's just my normal look of glazed insanity - to which people have become accustomed. It's just amped up a little until I hand that thing in.
I haven't looked at my synopsis in quite some time. Thank goodness!
Good luck with that synopsis!! I hate when it gets down to the wire like that.
And I figured it wouldn't be long till your Avatar was all decked out in Western wear and standing in that old Saloon :-)
Haha...you should have heard me when I saw the old west selection on the avatar site this morning.
The Lover's Journey? That sounds intriguing. I'm using the hero's journey for my WIP. I wonder if they're similar?
Yup, pretty much the same thing. Seizing swords, supreme ordeals and all that fun stuff.
Agh! You said the S-word. I wish they would be banned. Good luck using the Lover's Journey!
