Finito!

I have finished my revisions on The Outlaw Bride. At least the major ones. I've made it to the end. Just one more read through and clean up and then Connor and Kate are off to face the big, bad publishing world.

I have to say, I love my last chapter. Love it. And I don't care how egotistical that sounds, because it's true. There's something about that chapter that every time I read it my toes curl and my insides expand and it fills me with joy. Maybe because I've been with these two crazy kids for the better part of three years. Maybe because they're finally getting their happy ending and the time has come to wrap it up and move on. But mostly I think its just because somehow I managed to pull it all together and write a damn good ending.

And now it is done. Finito. I can put these two kids to bed. They'll be quite pleased to hear that I'm sure.

Next week - the BIAW. Tackling the as yet to be titled contemporary, although right now I'm using Lucy Albright Strikes Out. I asked my brother for some title assistance since part of the backdrop to the story was baseball (little league, not the majors) and I thought he could come up with a good metaphor that could be used in the title. His contribution: The Bat That Made Lucy Juicy.

You've got to admit...it is kind of catchy. Not to mention rife with metaphors...

Perhaps you could save that title for a super spicy future book...

Yay on finishing the revisions! There's nothing wrong in loving your work - there's been a few chapters or phrases of my own that I like to crow about.

Love the title. *gg*
