BIAW - Day One

I got a great jump start on the Book In A Week today. I'm working on Lucy Albright Strikes Out, my contemporary. The title may change but for now I'll go with that one (thanks for the idea Anne!).

My goal is to get 15,000 words done by the end of the week. Today I managed 2,750 words. It helped that I did some prep work beforehand. I spent last week working on a chapter by chapter outline so I have that to work off. Should help me from getting stuck.

Also, added a new blog to track my Fab At Forty progress. I thought if I had to hold myself accountable in blogland I'd be more inclined to keep at it. Just 5 months to go before the big event and I want to make sure I reach my goals. The link is down on the left hand side with the others if anyone feels like taking a gander.

That's about it for now. I got caught up in the writing today so only time for a short post. How's everyone else doing who's taking part in the BIAW?

2750? That is an awesome start to a BIAW! Good luck with that this week. I would've joined you if it wasn't the first week of school.

WOW! GREAT start to BIAW! I hope I get as much done today, too. Haven't started yet, but thankfully, work is yet again VERY SLOW - i.e. there is nothing for me to do - so I have all day to write. :-)

I haven't started yet, but then it is only 9 a.m. my time. However, I'm pretty excited, I think I can really pump it out this week.

Kudos on your work. That is amazing.
