Deadline: May 31st

Alrighty, if I am to spend the summer revising The Outlaw Bride, I need to finish my first draft of D&B no later than May 31st. So that is my mission this month. Bang out the rest of the story. So far this week I've managed a whopping 2 pages. Yesterday was a bust because Coop wasn't feeling well (although she seems better today so far...knock on something wood-like) and today my brain feels sluggish. The ideas are coming fast and furious, it's the actual writing that seems to still have that wading through sludge feel to it. In the past week, I've plotted out--at least in rough from--the premises for the second, third and fourth book in this series. Now I need to get the rest book one finished so I can move on and get something out there into the real world once again. So I'm posting this now and then I'm going upstairs with my notebook and see if writing out long hand doesn't speed things up and plow a path through the sludge.

I'm stuck in the same quagmire. Every time I sit to start I go completely blank. I'm about ready to throw in the towel.

I hate sludge. I went through that a week ago. Hope you find a way through it. (Which I'm sure you will!)
