And That's A Wrap People!

And I'm exhausted. Who knew spending two days talking about myself could be so taxing? But it was a lot of fun. On Saturday night the docu-crew (Christine, Joanna and Peter) showed up at my place where we ordered pizza and talked about what we were going to be doing for the shoot.

Then we started early Sunday morning doing some shots at my house. Then it was off to Citadel Hill for some shots of me traipsing about. Unfortunately it was rather chilly that day, and after the Citadel we went down to the waterfront. Brrrr.... I was told to lean against the railing and look out into the harbour, which I tried to do without shivering like a leaf caught in a stiff breeze. Once we finished those shots we were back to my place so I could change and get ready for my chapter lunch and meeting.

They followed us to the restaurant and filmed us there where we met sound guy Alex. Pam and I had to talk amongst ourselves and try to sound natural while they had the cameras trained on us. Then it was off to the meeting and more filming. Luckily they didn't stick around for the educational session because they had to get some exterior shots and then go to my parents house to set up there.

I managed to get to the parents before they started filming. That was a zoo. But whenever my family gets together it's a zoo, so hardly any surprise there. It was a little tamer than our usual gatherings, but they were all well behaved. Maxx was there as well and they started the interviews with us all together, and then afterwards just Maxx and I. By the time I got home that night I was so tired and hungry I actually had to tape Grey's Anatomy because I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to watch it.

The next morning we started again at 6:30 am. We did the formal interview down in my tv room with the fire going in the background. Picture this -- all those camera lights, the fire roaring, me in a sweater. If nothing else, hopefully the heat produced a rosy glow to my cheeks. After that, it was into my computer room for more questions and then off to Chapters to film me about the stacks and some more questions. Then back to my place for a few last shots. We wrapped up around 2 pm.

I was wiped out! I fell onto the couch, watched Grey's and then Finding Neverland. By this time the sun was out again and I felt the need to get some fresh air and clear my head so I went for my 50 minute power walk. And of course during my walk I came up with way better pithy answers to their questions than the ones I gave. I felt a bit brain dead during the formal interview, still tired from the day before. Hopefully I don't come off sounding like a complete idiot on tape. You think editing can fix that??

But the walk about did me in. By the time I trudged home from that I had enough energy to soak in the tub for an hour and read my book, grab a quick supper and dive back onto the couch to watch Prison Break and 24.

Needless to say, last night I slept like a log and tonight I expect a repeat performance.
