Bleh, Bleh, Bleh

Ugh. More snow. I'm done. Bring on spring. Better yet, bring on Cuba.

I woke up feeling crappy yesterday so I stayed home. At first I thought I was coming down with the flu everyone in my office seems to be catching, but the symptoms seemed to ease off through the day leaving me with the distinct impression that perhaps it wasn't the flu but the serious gluttony of gorging on every piece of chocolate in sight. Sugar overload. It's a nasty thing. So I'm off the stuff for a bit. Save for the occasional Lindor chocolate that might come my way. My waist feels like it is expanding far beyond the confines of what I'm comfortable with. My middle is not supposed to jiggle. I don't care if this is the Christmas season, the only belly jiggling like a bowl full of jelly should belong to a fat man in a red suit.

I tried to read the book I picked up at the library yesterday, Marie Antoinette, The Journey, by Antonia Fraser. It's really good so far but the headache lingered and after one chapter I gave up and opted to spend the day resting in front of the fire watching movies and napping. Later in the afternoon I did get a burst of energy and put my tree up which didn't take too long.

I spent this morning going over Chp 2 of D&B before I post it for critique. Now it's back to work, although quite frankly I would love another day of peace and quiet to just snooze and rest up. But wouldn't we all?

We're getting snow tomorrow (then, unfortunately, it's heading for you - sorry!) I'm no more thrilled than you. Especially as it means driving to the airport to pick up my dh in the thick of things.

Glad you don't have the flu! But I hear you on the expanding belly. I've been at the gym this week working off all the food my m-i-l fed me.

I'm curious about your further impressions of the M-A book :-)

We're supposed to get snow "bursts" today. Whatever that means.

I would love to have a day at home, no kids, just me and my dog. That sounds absolutely wonderful.

It's when the weather channel starts using words like 'imminent danger' that you have to worry.

I don't want to even think about jiggling bellies. We won't go there. :)
