I'm finally doing something about the pain in my neck and taking myself off to the chiropractor today. I'm okay with being a pain in the neck, but having one is a different story. My sister works with him so he comes well recommended. I'm actually looking forward to finding out what I can do about the problem, or even what the problem is, although I expect it probably has something to do with the strange set of extra ribs I have sitting near the top of my neck. I think it's called a floating rib, although most people have them at the bottom of their rib cage...not the top. But oh no, I just have to be different, like any good circus freak.
In other news, I wrote my miscellaneous scene notes for D&B this morning but not the closing scene notes. I'm not sure of the ending yet, so I just jotted something vague down, nothing specific. I know what the climax will be and I know some of the resolutions that come from that, but I don't have it planned out completely yet.
My chiropractor session consists of two appointments and I have an hour between them, so if I am able, I might wander down to the food court for the time and try to put the miscellaneous scene notes in some semblance of chronological order to see if I can start constructing how the story will flow.
Last night I realized as well that The Outlaw Bride was 137,500 words according to the whole 250 words/page theory. If I count on MS Word I get 120,000 words. Ugh. I have a little cutting to do. If I can crop 10,000 words I'll be happy. I know where some can come out as they were scenes I planned on eliminating during my rewrite anyway as they became redundant. The rest I'll have to search for.
My American Psycho DVD didn't arrive in the mail yesterday, so I expect it will be there today. So no point in even planning anything beyond my workouts tonight because I'll be situated in front of the big screen.

A circus freak and a blob of butter... and we wonder why we're still single.
Hey even circus freaks need love! Snicker...why does that make me giggle?
Kelly - hope the appointment helped :-) And that you got that work done on the misc scene notes in between!
hope the appointments can help your pain in the neck. and good luck on those scene notes.
Hope the appointment goes well, and good luck with cutting the mss! I'm the opposite. I always add pages and pages to mine during revisions....
Hope you're feeling better!
Ugh - neck pain. I have it too. Always very tense in my neck and shoulder areas. I think that's what causes all my tension headaches. I went to the chiropractor for awhile and it seemed to help, but darn it, I just can't afford it half the time.
Hope things work out well for you at the doc - and try and get in a good massage if you can! ;-)
Don't be ridiculous. You know I have no chin.
