Sheer Madness

I need to write approximately 65 pages this week to finish Brimstone before I go on vacation. Sixty-five. I have apparently lost all touch with reality. Especially given that I wrote only 6 pages today, which leaves 59 left to go. By Saturday. Insanity.

Also, I heard back from the Windy City RWA Four Seasons Contest. Desire & Brimstone placed second in both the Historical category and the Hero Guarantee to Blow You Away category. Sadly however, no request from the agents/editor. But it helped me make a decision to enter only one other contest - The Golden Heart and to concentrate the rest of my efforts on (1) finish it to final form; and (2) pitching to agents.

So here is a lovely look at my monthly goal calendar...

Week 1: Finish 2nd draft of Brimstone
Week 2: Plot out Book 2, Saving Grace
Week 3 & 4: Read through & make notes on 2nd draft of Brimstone
Week 5: Clean up of Brimstone

Go Kelly! And again, congrats on the great placing for the Four Seasons. I think that's a great idea to enter the GH.
