Eight Things About Me

I've been tagged twice on this so I better get it done!

Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. (Okay, I broke this rule...)

Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

Eight Things About Me

  1. I spent one year writing with my left hand after breaking my right collarbone and then the fingers on my right hand. I can still write fairly legibly with my left.

  2. Despite having been a life guard and swim instructor I have an intense shark phobia. My parents took me and my brother to see Jaws at the drive-in when I was around 5 years old. I never recovered.

  3. Some weird cosmic force led me to my dog. I knew I was supposed to look in the classifieds that day, I knew I was supposed to go out to the middle of nowhere, I knew I was supposed to pick the quiet dog in the corner despite objections from my sister to pick one of the more boisterous ones. It is to this day the best decision I ever made.

  4. A month before high school graduation my friend and I made a pact that if we didn’t pass all our credits we would pack a bag and head to California. When I passed all my credits and graduated I was severely disappointed.

  5. My Dad taught me to swim at the age of two by tossing me into the lake and pointing to shore. This was of course before the dreaded Jaws viewing and I dog paddled my way without any fear, despite my mother standing on the bank screaming.

  6. I worked with my Dad for 14 years and had a blast.

  7. Every time I take a long distance trip by bus I feel like I am running away from home and I can’t get the Littlest Hobo theme out of my head.

  8. I am an eternal optimist.

Most of you have already been tagged on this, so I won’t bother double-tagging. But if you haven’t, feel free to have at it!

How did you break your collar bone? It sounds very painful.

Optimism is a very attractive quality.

I'm glad you listened to the cosmic force and found Cooper. She needed you!

Extremely funny about the "Littlest Hobo" theme! That may haunt me, now...

I broke my collarbone by reaching over the arm of a chair to pick up a dropped lifesaver. My friend sitting in the chair with me decided I needed a nudge to reach them. Over I went with a crack and and a very loud "AHHHH!" which made my mother yell from the basement, "Craig, leave your sister alone!"

Ouch on the collar bone. And I really want a dog. I just need to convince my husband!

Nothing wrong with being an eternal optimist. You need it in this business!

Ouch on the collarbone and fingers. I broke my right humerus a couple years ago and I tried for months to write left-handed. Never happened. Least productive two months of my life.

Oops! I just tagged you again, Kelly. Silly thing is, I'd already read this post and forgot I'd read it. Sigh. Have to go and find more friends.
