Oh, The Crazy Things I Do

So I decided my goal for this month was to write 50 pages every week for the month of February. Fifty seemed like a nice round number and not too fluffy a goal that I didn't feel challenged.

Uh yeah. I think maybe I was challenged when I came up with that goal.

Fifty? Fifty?! What was I thinking?? That's 10 pages a day! And to make matters worse, I had to take Coop to a vet appointment Monday morning so I didn't get any writing done save for the two pages I managed to squeeze in on my lunch hour before I hit a brick wall.

Ahhhh!!

Gulp. No. It's okay. I can do this. I can. I just have to learn how to bend time like that guy on Heroes. What do you mean that's not real? Okay then, maybe I can -- cough, cough -- call in sick to work and write all day. No wait, I had a sick day last week, that won't work. Hmm...clone myself, perhaps? Then my original self can work on one scene, and my cloned self can work on the scene that follows it. Tag team writing. Except I don't have a cloning machine. And I'm not sure the world is ready to have two of me running around.

Sigh...guess I'll have to do it the old fashioned way. Butt-in-chair and typing like a mad woman against the clock.

Well, at least I've got the mad woman part down.

The world is most assueredly not ready for multiple Kellys. ;)

Good luck with the writing goal! Is Coop ok?

Coop appears to be doing fine. Just a stubborn infection from the looks of it. We just need to await the culture results to figure out which antibiotics will kill it since the first batch didn't work. Although Coop doesn't appear to be aware there is anything wrong. Typical. Let me do all the worrying.

50 pages a week is quite a goal!

Yeah, that IS quite a goal. 10 pages a day doesn't sound so bad, but somehow when you total it...

Love the pic, btw :-)

Have fun typing madly!!

I'm sure that a healthy dose of madness is essential to most creative endeavour. At least that's what I comfort myself with. Charge ahead! You laugh at fifty!

FIFTY!!?!?!?! I can't even begin to imagine that right now. Good luck and keep at it!

If I had been a sane woman I would have said 40 pgs, given that Monday was a bust and tomorrow I have to leave early to meet with the lawyer to sign the mtge papers. But I'm going to keep at it and see how far I get. I'm not even halfway there right now!

That is quite a goal (my goal for this month is 50 pages) but I can see you reaching it, especially if you write on the weekends. Good luck!!

LOLOL

There's a show on the cartoon station called Carl 2 (Carl Squared) where he has a clone of himself. Hmmm, how do you feel about becoming a cartoon??

Even if you don't make the exact goal, every page you write is one step further.

I know I can do 50 pages a week if I put my mind to it. But that hasn't happened for a while. You're an inspiration. :)
