Born: January 18, 1967 at 2:12 AM

Well it's here! The BIG 4-0. I had ordered some balmy weather for the day, but Environment Canada seems to have screwed up my order and it's sub-zero out there. Brrrrrr... break out the mucklucks and thermal undies boys and girls.

I am going up to my parents house tonight for the combo birthday supper for my brother and I (his birthday was on the 15th, but he's a year older, of which I like to remind him on a regular basis). I got to pick the meal so it's baked salmon for dinner and my Mom's homemade apple crisp instead of a cake. Yummmmm!

I'm pretty stoked about turning 40. At first it kind of freaked me out. Forty? Does that mean I'll have to start acting like a grown up? But then as the date grew nearer I started feeling this surge of excitement. It was 40. I had made it. And I had reached this point healthier, better looking (hey - I have the new driver's license photo to prove it!), and with a more balanced and determined frame of mind than when I was 30. It's like I found my groove, and now I have a whole new decade to apply my grooviness to. How can I not be excited about that?

And like I said over at Fab At Forty -- since I plan on living to 125, technically, I'm just getting started!

So how did I spend my writing time on my birthday? Working on the first kiss scene for Finding Home. Not a bad way to start the day. Progress on the book has been steady. I'm optimistic I'll reach my first draft completion deadline of March 31st.

Now here's something fun a friend at work sent me yesterday. It's called the Birthday Calculator. You put in your birthday day and it gives you back all this information, including your life path number, how many seconds you've been on the earth, the relative date you were conceived. It's pretty cool. My life path number is six and the description was pretty bang on. Give it a whirl.

Have a great B-day, Kelly!

40 is nothing, isn't it? Easy to do.

Now, about that birthday order - who do you have to chase down in order to get them to give you the proper birthday weather?

I didn't make that big of a fuss - okay, it is huge and in big red letters. :)

Happy Birthday!!! 1967 was a great year to be born.

I don't really plan on making a fuss over mine this year, however I know hubby is going to go all out, even suggested catering.

Have a fabulous 40th year!!!
