I Need to Climb More Trees

I'm totally hooked on the new show, Men In Trees. I was never a big Anne Hesche fan, but I have to say I really like her in this show about a relationship coach that gets cheated on by her fiancé and retreats to small town Alaska.

But hey, it's me so let's face it, the real thing that got me hooked on the show was the character Jack, played by James Tupper. Holy hotness. And even better, I found out he's actually from Halifax originally. And all I can say is...where the heck was I when he was still in town?? He's great in the show and the more I watch the more I'm looking at that face and thinking, there's a character in there for me...so now my brain is churning figuring out who this character is, what's his background, his damage, his present, past, future, what he looks like naked...whoops...how did that slip in there?

I love when that happens. The character part, not the naked part. Well, okay that too, but for now let's concentrate on the character part. I love when you see a face and it just hits you that there's a story in that face for you. And I've come to realize, that's where a lot of my ideas come from. Faces. It all seems to start with the character for me and that character and the ideas that surround them come from the faces that catch my attention.

This would explain why I was generally a more visual learning in my school days...

Anyway, the show is awesome and they put it in a better time slot than where it originally was. So now it's on after Grey's Anatomy on Thursday on ABC. It means I have to watch ER when it's on earlier on another channel, but it's worth it. The show itself stands alone even without the hotness, but the hotness definitely helps. I've only seen four episodes so I'll catch up over the holidays when they replay the earlier ones.

All I can say is, if men like Jack really were in trees, I'd be reliving my childhood and climbing every branch I could get my hands on.

I haven't heard of this one Kelly. I'll have to see if I can catch it over the Christmas break.

I've heard that this show is good. If they are replaying the first of the season, I should try and catch it too.

Cool that he is from Halifax. I never heard of him before, so wonder what else he was in.

I've watched bits and pieces of it - haven't quite made up my mind. But you're right, he's hot. Still, it would take a LOT to get me to switch from watching Goran Visnjic

I like Anne Heche, as an actress. I think she screwed Ellen over, but I still enjoy her acting. Haven't watched this show, however, this Tupper guy is all over the place. Women are going nuts for him.

I get the same feeling when I watch "House." I'd love to make a hero like that. I also got the same feeling watching Gordon Ramsay on "Hell's Kitchen."

That is a good show! I watched the first few but then I had to make some cuts...this is before it was on after Grey's. I might have to get back into it because that guy is a total hottie.

I wonder if I can handle all the Grey's hotties and the Men in Trees hottie all in one night...worth a try!

I haven't been crazy about the show. Granted, I missed a lot because it used to be on opposite Battlestar Galactica, which the dh watches AND Tivos. I do like Jack's voice, but Marin just grates for some reason.
