Brain Dead in Dartmouth

I could barely keep my eyes opened this morning. My brain felt like a big useless lump weighing down my head. And to top things off, I realized my heroine's name which changed so I didn't have two "L" names (Lucy / Logan) has to be changed again. I called her Maddie (Madeline) but when I said it out loud this morning the one brain cell that was actually awake reminded me that Madeline Albright is the name of the former US Secretary of Defense. Or State. Or something. I forget exactly what she did, but her name I remember. Sigh.

I did a little writing. Most of it nonsensical crap. Random thoughts strung together that I gave up on after about a page because I couldn't figure out what I was trying to say or do. Then I tried to do some plotting but was so brain dead I had trouble completing a thought.

So today was, in short, a wasted day. I still have 40 minutes left before I have to get ready for work, and maybe a miracle will happen and I'll come up with something brilliant before then. But I'm not holding my breath. Mostly because I don't have the energy. Or the brain function to remember what I was holding it for.

I have been brain dead the last 2 days now that I'm back on the early shift. I like getting off earlier but holy cow... mornings are painful.

I had a heck of a time dragging my behind out of bed this morning. Not sure why, but I do know that's one of the reasons I can't write in the morning. I don't wake up until at least 9:30 a.m.

I'm working hard to get my book done. It has taken way too long already! So I know what you mean about being tired!
