Every year I plan to do something with the gardening/ landscape and I never follow through.

We just had a new drainfield installed so our entire backyard is dirt. We're putting in an irrigation system, but doing it ourselves, so maybe it will get done sometime next year.

Don't even get me started in ants...They're so evil.Julie Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10695446797630499324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12700936.post-59193295771819648802007-04-19T09:17:00.000-03:002007-04-19T09:17:00.000-03:00I'm with Melissa - just not a gardener and I admir...I'm with Melissa - just not a gardener and I admire people who love to do it. I just don't like heat.

Go to a nursery and ask them about ants. I have to fight them in the house, but that stuff is different than what goes outside.Bailey Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639029254352011915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12700936.post-74939651645489499112007-04-18T10:59:00.000-03:002007-04-18T10:59:00.000-03:00I'm not a gardener. I am NOT a hot-weather person, and the poor flowers suffer because of it!Melissa Amateishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16086267508858187716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12700936.post-67404135604617240252007-04-17T12:22:00.000-03:002007-04-17T12:22:00.000-03:00I use an ant killer that is non-toxic for people, ...I use an ant killer that is non-toxic for people, animals, birds etc... Can't remember the name of it, but it's safe for the environment, just not ants. I'll check my garage and let you know.

Of course, some ants are good to have around since they aerate the soil, but too many can wreak havoc with your landscape. We get the big carpenter ones, which chew your wood, so I get rid of those ones first.

What gets me is the rocks. I spend most of my time digging up rocks. Good way to build up muscle, though. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12700936.post-92149667325971672682007-04-17T10:27:00.000-03:002007-04-17T10:27:00.000-03:00I hate ants. Check with Home Depot, they could give you a few ideas.

I'm going to rip up my garden this year as well. I only moved into our house at the end of July, so there wasn't much I could do. This spring though...look out!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12777733587200293442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12700936.post-810225119240364202007-04-17T08:30:00.000-03:002007-04-17T08:30:00.000-03:00I rage a war against ants every year. I'd just plant colourful stuff around it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15696255304905485685noreply@blogger.com
