Argh, Argh, Argh

I had to give up today. It's rare when that happens, but today I came to the computer feeling brain dead and things spiralled downward from there. I wrote a few new pages and realized the scene I was working on did nothing but meander away from the action of the plot. I think I may need to go further back and change things, amp something up and go from there. Stop wasting pages wandering about and get to the point.

Sigh. My characters are completely misbehaving and causing me no end of grief this week. They will suffer and be punished for their insolence. Just as soon as I figure out how to make that happen. But I'm too tired and frustrated to deal with it today so I'm throwing my hands up in surrender. I'll print the pages off and look at them tomorrow and try to figure out where the heck I went wrong.

On a more positive note, I received my Golden Heart scores in the mail yesterday and was pleased to note I made it into the top quarter with my scores. That was good to hear.

Congrats on those scores, Kelly! I wasn't quite so lucky, but am not letting the two low marks get me down.

Excellent on the scores! As for your watery conduit, I think a hot jacuzzi would spice things up a little, get those character-critters back on track...

Good news on your scores.

I hate when books go skew on you. I'm sure you will whip everyone back into shape.

Good for you on the GH scores! That must make you feel great!!!

I have had days where I've had to throw out lots of pages because I've done too much meandering. It really sucks.

Way to go on making the top quarter! That's awesome. :)

Now go slap those characters around.
